RN ICU - Pediatrics (PICU)

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric ICU patients, delivering competent and compassionate nursing care.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient status, and intervenes as necessary.
• Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting all changes in physician orders.
• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Communicates care plans to patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge; delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate.

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures with demonstrated ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
