RN Surgery Center – Operating Room

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract | Full-Time | Days | Onsite

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent and comprehensive nursing care.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders.
• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Obtains, monitors, and evaluates physiological data; intervenes as necessary based on patient condition changes.
• Administers medications as prescribed and initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Communicates care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families, including discharge instructions, and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate.

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services in a surgical or operating room setting.
