Responsibilities Cash register operations — Operate the register during prescription pickup, process cash/credit transactions, obtain signatures, maintain accurate cash counts, and prepare daily deposit reports. Prescription intake — Receive new written prescriptions, verify patient information, and enter data into the pharmacy system before routing to technicians or pharmacists. Customer service — Greet patients, answer non‑clinical questions, direct calls, assist with OTC product location, and manage drop‑off/pick‑up flow.
Inventory support — Stock medications, rotate inventory, check expiration dates, unpack shipments, and maintain organized shelves. Record management — File prescriptions, maintain patient records, process third‑party documents, and ensure HIPAA compliance. Workflow support — Place filled prescriptions in will‑call, monitor waiting prescriptions, deliver medications to other sites, and keep work areas clean. Additional duties — as requested.
Required Skills & Qualifications Customer service skills — Friendly, accurate, and patient‑focused communication. Basic computer proficiency — Ability to use Pioneer Software and Windows‑based systems. Attention to detail — Ensuring accuracy in data entry, cash handling, and recordkeeping. Organization — Maintaining clean, orderly work spaces and inventory. High school diploma — Minimum education requirement. Physical Abilities Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
Light lifting required (up to 25 lbs).
Education High School or better.
