Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for developing and maintaining quality systems, policies, procedures, and processes
to ensure all company, regulatory, and industry requirements are met. This is an administrative support position and the QA
Associate works closely with Quality Engineers and the Quality Manager to ensure the integrity of the overall Quality Management
System.
Essential Functions
To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable

- Monitors and maintains processes including:
- Corrective & Preventive actions
- Internal and Supplier audits
- Studies of measurement repeatability/reproducibility, and process capability
- Document control procedures
- Inspection Stamp control procedures
- Qualifies suppliers according to defined processes, complying with Company validation requirements
- Assists in the development & documentation of manufacturing, inspection, & verification procedures and work instructions
- Supports the implementation of improvements to the Quality Management System
- Supports change management processes to ensure customer requirements are achieved
- Provides support to Quality Engineers and the Quality Technical Support team
- Assists in the investigation and resolution of manufacturing related issues
- Facilitates training of Accurus employees on quality policies and procedures, inspection techniques, etc.
- Maintains a variety of tracking spreadsheets and metrics for management reporting
- Performs general office duties such as scanning documents, filing, answering telephones, and completing data entry
- Regular attendance on-site at the work location is required
Other Required Skills and Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of AS9100, FAA requirements, and Statistical Process control (SPC) is preferred
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement training and/or certification is advantageous
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities to appropriately handle unexpected challenges
- Communication skills to effectively and professionally exchange and present information (English)
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, securing company records, and demonstrating integrity in communications and actions
- Self-management skills including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
- Professional verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Physical Demands and Work Environment
To perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
- Regularly stand and walk
- Occasionally climb steps or stairs
- Constantly communicate verbally and in writing (English) using a phone, texts or other messaging, and email
- Use hands and fingers to operate computer keyboards, mouse, or other peripherals
- Occasionally lift, push and/or pull up to 25lbs
The normal work environment is a typical office setting; however occasional visits to the warehouse/manufacturing environment will be required and the employee may be exposed to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vapors, and hazards including forklifts and other moving equipment. The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye protection, and use of safety footwear may be required during these visits.
Education Required
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Two (2) year vocational/technical degree in business administration or manufacturing support is preferred
