Location: Fully Remote (EST hours required)
Duration: 5-month contract
Schedule: 40 hours/week, EST business hours
Pay Range: $50-$60 per hour
Job DescriptionOne of our top clients, a Global Footwear and Apparel company, is looking to bring on additional support to cover parental leaves. They are searching for a remote eCommerce Merchandise Manager to lead the digital merchandising strategy for their Apparel category. This is a 5-month contract role with full-time hours, operating on Eastern Time.
This position plays a key role in shaping the product portfolio and driving growth through strategic assortment planning, consumer insights, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in apparel merchandising, deep digital commerce expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional consumer experiences.
Responsibilities- Lead the merchandising strategy for Apparel on the DTC eCommerce platform.
- Analyze consumer behavior and market trends to guide seasonal assortment planning and long-term business strategy.
- Collaborate with Global Merchandising to identify assortment gaps, inventory needs, and marketing opportunities.
- Leverage site analytics and performance metrics to inform short- and long-term decisions.
- Partner with site experience and marketing teams to develop editorial calendars and product launches.
- Lead seasonal hindsight reviews, pre-season planning, and buy strategies aligned with brand direction.
- Manage in-season performance, adjusting forecasts and identifying risks/opportunities in real time.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels and accuracy in partnership with Operations and Planning.
- Influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment on strategic goals.
- Communicate consumer and product insights across departments to support business decisions.
- 7+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in apparel merchandising or product management.
- Proven success in eCommerce strategy development and execution.
- Strong understanding of site merchandising and digital consumer behavior.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing complex projects.
- Proficiency in merchandising systems (PLM, ERP) and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
