Automotive Sales, Sales Manager
LEPAS has recently become the latest Chery International brand to join the growing Bowker Motor Group automotive portfolio. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Sales/Transaction Manager to join our brand-new dealership on Phillips Road, Blackburn, opening in Summer 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new franchise launch and help shape the success of the dealership from day one.
The successful candidate will be able to adapt to individual customer needs while leading, developing and empowering the sales team to deliver an exceptional customer journey. You will be driven, self-motivated, energetic and ambitious, with strong organisational, interpersonal, coaching, training and negotiation skills. A thorough understanding of FCA compliance requirements is essential.
The RoleAs a Sales/Transaction Manager, you will play a key role in driving business growth, leading the sales team, maximising profitability and ensuring outstanding customer experience.
- Implementing clear structures, routines and daily disciplines to ensure the Sales Department operates efficiently and delivers outstanding performance.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of our products, the LEPAS brand and market developments, using this expertise to motivate and develop the sales team.
- Establishing and maintaining a structured enquiry management process to ensure all incoming enquiries are handled professionally and effectively, while embedding a customer-focused mindset that values every lead.
- Ensuring the sales team consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience and acting as the primary escalation point for customer concerns within the Sales Department.
- Supporting and overseeing vehicle sales negotiations, including customer part-exchange valuations.
- Coaching, developing and motivating the sales team to achieve sales objectives while identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
- Driving effective prospecting activity, monitoring conversion rates and maintaining a strong sales pipeline to maximise opportunities.
- Delivering business growth through increased retail volume, profitability and departmental performance.
- Building strong customer relationships to promote loyalty, retention and repeat business.
- Maintaining regular customer contact, providing updates on vehicle orders and coordinating vehicle handovers.
- Overseeing the sales team to achieve monthly sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Ensuring the showroom is maintained to the highest standards, with vehicles presented professionally at all times.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, and Saturday 9.00am to 5.00pm on a rota basis.
Skills & ExperienceApplicants must have proven experience within automotive sales, be well presented and have exceptional communication skills, together with:

- Self-confidence and a customer focused attitude
- Energy and enthusiasm
- Previous experience in an automotive management role is essential
- An eye for detail
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Quality awareness
- Full UK driving licence
