Substation Foreman – High Voltage - Per Diem

Journeyman Electrician — Description Substation Foreman – High Voltage (Contract) – Sher Contracting

Location: Weleetka, Oklahoma

Project Duration: 5‑7 Months (Contract)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily substation construction activities
• Supervise installation of foundations, conduit systems, and high‑voltage equipment (138kV–161kV)
• Oversee grounding systems, bus work, and station service installations
• Ensure work aligns with project specs, drawings, and safety standards
• Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain OSHA compliance
• Coordinate with project leadership and maintain field reports

Requirements:

• 5+ years of substation construction experience
• Experience working in high‑voltage (138kV+) substations
• Proven ability to lead crews in energized environments
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

Preferred:

• OSHA 30 Certification
• Electrical License or NCCER certification
• Sher Contracting participates in E-Verify
  ; drug/background screenings required.

Education & Credentials

• Active Journeyman Electrician license
• Preferred:
  OSHA-30
  , NFPA 70E safety training.

• $45 - $50/hr
• $135 Per Diem
