Oilfield Mechanic

Position Summary

The Oilfield Mechanic II independently performs routine maintenance and mid-level repairs on oilfield equipment including engines, pumps, separators, and compressors.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems with minimal supervision.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records and work orders.
• Mentor junior mechanics.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of mechanical experience, preferably oilfield.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing rotating equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred:

• Technical certificate in diesel, heavy equipment, or mechanical trades.

• Intermediate troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Requirement Frequency Description

• Sitting Frequently Driving
• Standing/Walking Frequently Facility walkthroughs
• Lifting (up to 50 lbs.) Occasionally Parts, tools, safety equipment
• Fine Motor Skills Daily Typing, writing, computer mouse use, tools
• Vision/Hearing Requirements Required Reading reports, using phones, attending meetings
• Environmental Exposure Frequently Visit field sites with exposure to weather and noise

• Exposure to field conditions including noise, dust, extreme temperatures, and inclement weather.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at all times in designated areas.
