Building Maintenance Aide

Location: Sulphur

We are currently looking for a Full Time Building Maintenance Aide to join our Cultural Center Facilities and Maintenance Technology team located at the Chickasaw Cultural Center working .

Summary:
Responsible for the care and maintenance of all Chickasaw Nation facilities, staff and guests at the Cultural Center.

Responsibilities:

* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types

* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.

* Identifies and corrects hazardous working conditions

* Inspects furniture, walls and floor coverings; recommends needed actions to management to ensure that facility is maintained to premier standards

* Completes work orders

* Assists / helps perform major and minor carpentry work including the following: hang sheet rock; tape and bedding; trim work; install both primary and storm windows; framing; lay floor tile; install ceramic tile;
Roofing: both patch and new; and cabinet work

* Performs chemical application per manufacturer's instructions

* Removes fixtures, such as pictures and electric switch covers, from walls prior to painting, using screwdriver

* Will work with maintenance and technology staff to complete tasks and work orders

* Performs basic sanding, painting, and patching to drywall/sheetrock

* Assists with installation and removal of Christmas displays

* Cleaning of roof drains, gutters and roofing materials when needed

* Assists with minor and major HVAC, plumbing, irrigation, carpentry and mechanical needs

* Works with specialized equipment and have basic knowledge of operation

* Daily rounds to be completed: checking water softeners, boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems

* Moving furniture, exhibits, specialized cases and any other items requested through the facility and maintenance line of support

* Snow and ice removal throughout the campus

* Performs all other duties as assigned
