Earthwork Utility Heavy Equipment Operator | In this role you will…

Be responsible for operating company owned machinery in a safe and effective manner. Able to demonstrate safe operation of assigned equipment. Operator is expected to use his/her experience and judgement to make decisions considering safety and efficiency.

* Ensure all safety requirements and codes are implemented and met by all team members

* Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed

* Understand means and methods to safely perform assigned tasks

* Understand and ensure safety of team members

* Monitor and track field data as requested by superintendent

* Maintain paperwork daily

* Operate heavy equipment includes running, maneuvering, navigating, and driving

* Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life in accordance to company policies and procedures

* Perform daily pre-inspections: identify problems or defects that need corrected, report problems or defects immediately

* Heavy Equipment includes (but not limited too):
Excavator, Dozer, Off Road Truck, Motor Grader, Backhoe, Skid Steer, Roller, Reclaimer, etc.

What we look for:

* High School Diploma / GED

* OSHA 10 or 30 (Preferred)

* CPR / First Aid Training (Preferred)

* Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details

* Problem Solving

* Understand earthwork / utility means and methods

* Travel for periods of time, as projects require

* Flexible to help where needed
