AOV Engineer – Automated Opening Vent (AOV) Engineer
Location:
North London and surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities- Installation, servicing and maintenance of AOV and smoke ventilation systems
- Fault finding and repair of control panels, actuators, vents, dampers and related equipment
- Commissioning and testing of smoke control systems
- Ensure compliance with current fire safety regulations and British Standards
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and site managers
- Participate in planned preventive maintenance (PPM) works and reactive callouts where required
- Previous experience working with AOV / smoke ventilation systems
- Knowledge of fire safety and smoke control systems
- Desirable experience with natural and mechanical smoke ventilation systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
