Seasonal Construction/Maintenance Technician – Sequoyah State Park Lodge

Job Type: Part‑time Seasonal (Fixed‑Term)

Salary: $12.00 per hour

Employment Term: April1 to September
30 (up to 40 hours per week)

• Perform carpentry work in construction or renovation of buildings or additions to existing structures
• Erect and maintain scaffolds, sheds, forms, frames, fences, and other structures
• Alter and repair doors, floors, partitions, stairways, windows, and other fixtures
• Fit and glaze glass in windows and doors; maintain and repair roofs
• Install, replace, and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, traps, faucets; make minor repairs to laundry, sterilization, kitchen equipment
• Maintain and repair light fixtures, receptacles, and switches; replace bulbs; troubleshoot and make electrical repairs not requiring a license
• Maintain and repair heating, refrigeration, and air‑conditioning equipment, including components, pumps, fans, humidifiers, and heat exchangers
• Install and maintain locks and other security devices; cut new or duplicate keys
• Construct, maintain, and repair concrete foundations; build retaining walls, walkways, fireplaces, chimneys, stairways
• Operate, maintain, and repair construction and grounds equipment such as trucks, tractors, bulldozers, cranes, forklifts, mowers
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge of building and maintenance trades, materials, methods, tools, equipment, hazards, and safety precautions. Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Two years of experience in one or more building trades, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 18 years old.

Valid Oklahoma driver’s license is required to operate state‑owned vehicles. Background check will be required.
