Plant Maintenance Tech

Job Summary

Maintenance Technician – ensuring quality plant maintenance by performing general repairs on all company equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. Multiple positions across all shifts (6am–6pm and 6pm–6am, Sunday–Wednesday and Wednesday–Saturday).

• Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations, and procedures as set by company policies and MSHA.
• Adhere to company policies and local, state, and federal regulations for safe working procedures.
• Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform general maintenance and repair on all company equipment, including conveyors, screen units, crushers, and vibrating feeders.
• Execute preventive maintenance on all company equipment.
• Conduct workplace, pre‑shift, and post‑shift inspections as required.
• Repair and/or clean equipment as needed.
• Assist welders and perform special projects as needed.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance of self, shop, and work areas.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned location.
• Perform other duties related to the nature of the job on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

• Safe work history and proactive safety approach.
• Plant maintenance mechanic or plant oiler experience (≤1 year) with knowledge of: splicing and tracking conveyor belts, replacing idlers, pulleys, bearings, V‑belts, and screen media; proper greasing, grease lines, oil changes, and sampling; basic preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of automation software and diagnostics is helpful but not required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Good safety, behavior, and attendance record.
• Team‑oriented, excellent verbal, written, and comprehension communication skills.
• Willingness to perform heavy labor and work outside in all weather extremes.
• Flexibility to work swing, graveyard, overtime, and weekend shifts.
• Ability to work near, around, or on light or heavy equipment.

• Lift objects up to 75lbs occasionally and 50lbs frequently.
• Climb stairs and ladders repeatedly.
• Balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push, and pull objects.
• Use vibration‑producing tools frequently.
• Tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
• Reach, squat, and tolerate prolonged standing, walking, or sitting.
• Walk frequently on uneven surfaces.
