Job Summary

We are a Fortune 500 midstream service provider seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate PLC and DCS equipment. • Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems including analyzers, control and automation equipment.
• Install, operate, troubleshoot, and calibrate programmable logic controllers (PLC) and distributed control systems (DCS).
• Install and support SCADA systems and remote terminal units, satellite equipment, and related instrumentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and analytical testing on compressors, engines, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain electrical power circuits, switch gear, and power distribution.
• Maintain and/ or prepare reports, records, and material orders, including maintenance and repair records, safety reports, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, pressure readings, and loop sheets.
• Perform DOT covered duties, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline.
• Respond promptly to hazardous conditions to prevent injury or property damage.

• Experience with electrical systems, SCADA, PLC, and DCS equipment.
• Proficiency in using manual and power tools, electronic testing devices, and control devices.
• Knowledge of gas processing fundamentals, computer software, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Experience interpreting repair orders, mechanical drawings, procedures, charts, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Ability to apply arithmetic calculations and communicate written and verbal information effectively.

The position requires heavy physical exertion: lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 100 pounds; standing and walking frequently; and performing repetitive motions constantly.

Work occurs in climate‑controlled indoor and outdoor areas, with exposure to wet, humid, extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, gases, moving mechanical parts, and potential electrical shock. There is also exposure to vibration, loud noises, and unprotected heights.

Travel may be required within the assigned region and to other locations; driving may be required if assigned a company vehicle.
