As an Operations Technician I, you’ll perform a variety of tasks to support pipeline operations and safely maintain facility equipment. Accurate record‑keeping and a focus on safety will bring success in this role.
Responsibilities- Safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, inspecting/supervising equipment and maintaining operation/technical standards and/or governmental requirements.
- Collaborate with others to discover solutions to technical or operational problems.
- Follow all company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures.
- Acquire knowledge of and adhere to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets.
- Oversee general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance.
- Complete assigned reports, logs, and maintain accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required: High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred: Associate’s degree or two‑year technical degree; minimum six (6) months mechanical, technical, or controls systems experience in the oil and gas industry or an operations technician summer internship with an Associate’s degree.
- Will be willing to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods.
- Work at elevated levels, including man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE.
- Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Demonstrate aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and place safety as the utmost priority.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PC skills; basic knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
- Hourly/Salary Guidelines:
Minimum $28, Midpoint $37, Maximum $45.
