Equipment Repair Technician
Location:
Rosedale, MD (RDA) - Welding equipment rental
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
Hourly pay: $28 – $32 per hour
Responsibilities- Contribute to a culture of safety by following health and safety guidelines.
- Repair and refurbish all electric and engine drive equipment.
- Assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental; test and calibrate machines to ensure readiness for customers.
- Repaint parts, touch up paint, and apply decals to welders to maintain a professional appearance.
- Replace defective parts and perform essential preventive maintenance.
- Order parts as required to ensure efficient completion of repairs.
- Inspect returned equipment to verify proper operation and identify necessary care.
- Operate forklift, pallet jack, or other equipment to organize parts in the shop.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment for the benefit of all team members.
- Prepare and complete documentation for all machine repairs.
- Occasionally provide on‑site service to support equipment and customers.
- Maintain open communication with all branch personnel.
- Occasionally share expertise with customers regarding the most effective equipment for their projects.
- Perform field work as needed to support business goals.
- Perform other related duties as a collaborative team member.
Required
- High School Diploma.
- 0–1 year(s) of related technical experience (early career or transition from similar fields accepted).
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred
- Post‑secondary education equivalent to a one‑year technical college or related background is a valued asset.
- Working knowledge of power generating and welding equipment.
- Treatment of technical tasks with thoroughness, care, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, thrive with autonomy, and stay connected to team goals.
