Equipment Repair Technician

Location:

Rosedale, MD (RDA) - Welding equipment rental

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

Hourly pay: $28 – $32 per hour

• Contribute to a culture of safety by following health and safety guidelines.
• Repair and refurbish all electric and engine drive equipment.
• Assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental; test and calibrate machines to ensure readiness for customers.
• Repaint parts, touch up paint, and apply decals to welders to maintain a professional appearance.
• Replace defective parts and perform essential preventive maintenance.
• Order parts as required to ensure efficient completion of repairs.
• Inspect returned equipment to verify proper operation and identify necessary care.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, or other equipment to organize parts in the shop.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment for the benefit of all team members.
• Prepare and complete documentation for all machine repairs.
• Occasionally provide on‑site service to support equipment and customers.
• Maintain open communication with all branch personnel.
• Occasionally share expertise with customers regarding the most effective equipment for their projects.
• Perform field work as needed to support business goals.
• Perform other related duties as a collaborative team member.

Required

• High School Diploma.
• 0–1 year(s) of related technical experience (early career or transition from similar fields accepted).
• Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred

• Post‑secondary education equivalent to a one‑year technical college or related background is a valued asset.
• Working knowledge of power generating and welding equipment.
• Treatment of technical tasks with thoroughness, care, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, thrive with autonomy, and stay connected to team goals.
