Operations Technician III
:
Perform a variety of tasks, including reading and interpreting drawings, supporting pipeline operations, safely maintaining facility equipment, and analyzing data to resolve technical and operational problems. Knowledge of permits and compliance, accurate record‑keeping, and a focus on safety will bring success in this role.

Responsibilities & Expectations
  • Perform various tasks to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading and interpreting drawings, inspecting and supervising equipment, and maintaining operational and technical standards and/or governmental requirements.
  • Assume responsibility for data analysis and collaborate with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems.
  • Follow all company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Acquire knowledge of and adhere to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets.
  • Maintain general knowledge of site/location/equipment, specific permits, and compliance.
  • Complete assigned reports, logs, and maintain accurate records of process operations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or a similar role.
  • Associate’s or 2‑year technical degree and a minimum of two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Willingness to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises, and in enclosed spaces.
  • Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team‑lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time.
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (personal protection equipment).
  • Use of hand tools required.
Work Hours & Travel
  • Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays as the need arises.
  • May be required to work overtime, 10‑12 hour shifts, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
Other Requirements
  • Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrate aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills, and advanced knowledge of process control systems and programmable logic controllers.
Salary
  • Hourly/Salary Guidelines: $28 (minimum) – $41 (midpoint) – $45 (maximum).
