Park Energy Services is seeking a Shop Technician to inspect, assemble, repair, and test natural gas compression equipment. In this role you'll perform mechanical and basic electrical work on engines, compressors, and related systems, following strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment issues, completing preventive maintenance, documenting work performed, and supporting fabrication or rebuild projects. You'll collaborate closely with field and operations teams, use shop tools and diagnostic equipment, and participate in ongoing training to grow your technical, safety, and leadership skills in the energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, assemble, repair, and test natural gas compression equipment and components
- Perform mechanical and basic electrical maintenance on engines, compressors, and related systems
- Troubleshoot equipment faults and assist with root-cause analysis
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks following safety and quality procedures
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Support fabrication, rebuild, and modification of compression packages
- Document work performed, parts used, and test results accurately
- Follow company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times
- Collaborate with shop, field, and operations teams to meet project schedules
- Participate in ongoing technical and safety training to advance skill level
