Job SummaryProvide outreach and support services to pregnant and parenting youth ages 16–24 of all genders who are experiencing homelessness, at risk of becoming homeless, running away, or transitioning from out‑of‑home placement. This position delivers street‑based and community outreach, distributes basic needs supplies for youth and their children, completes Coordinated Entry assessments, and connects youth to housing, healthcare, prenatal and parenting supports, childcare, education, and other essential resources.
The role also provides education to community members and organizations about issues facing youth and young families experiencing homelessness, and collaborates with community partners, the Street Works Collaborative, law enforcement, and local businesses to ensure coordinated, trauma‑informed, and equitable services.
Qualifications and Requirements- Experience working with youth, including lived experience, community involvement, or direct work preferred.
- Effective working knowledge of positive youth development, harm reduction and trauma-informed care preferred.
- Experience engaging and supporting youth experiencing homelessness and at‑risk youth or children and/or supporting pregnant and parenting youth.
- Strong communication, cultural responsiveness, and relationship building skills.
- Knowledge of local youth services and community resources preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries.
- Must be able to pass a DHS level background check.
- Must be able to pass a driver’s eligibility check.
