Northwest Center for Behavioral Health, Fort Supply

We are seeking dedicated Mental Health Technicians to join our team and support patients of behavioral health treatment in an inpatient setting. Under close supervision, this position will play an integral role in providing direct and indirect care to individuals in need of behavioral health support.

Position Overview

As a Mental Health Technician, you will assist in creating a safe, supportive environment for patients, ensuring that they receive the care they need while engaging in therapeutic activities. You will be instrumental in promoting wellness and safety, helping to de‑escalate difficult situations, and providing guidance as a role model for patients.

Job Type/Salary

Primary working hours are 10 hour shifts - nights!

Work 4 days a week - perfect for night owls!

Shifts available- NOC 09:30 p.m. to 08:00 a.m. or EVE 03:30 p.m.

- 02:00 a.m.

This position is located in Fort Supply Oklahoma.

Hourly pay rate:
Level I - $15.10, Level II - $16.28, Level III - $17.59 (this includes a $1.00/hour differential when working in a direct care setting!)

Additional $0.50/hr shift differential when working evening or nights and $0.75/hr shift differential for working weekends and holidays!

A Level I MHT working a holiday weekend night could earn $17.10/hr - with differentials that stack!

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Must possess a strong commitment to patient well‑being and safety
  • Must believe that recovery is possible!

Preference may be given to CNA certification.

Level II requires one year of experience providing patient care, and Level III requires two years of experience providing patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct and Indirect Care:
    Assist in the care of patients in a behavioral health setting, both individually and in groups
  • Ensure Safety and Well‑Being:
    Participate in de‑escalation efforts, ensuring that patients are kept safe and their needs are met
  • Role Model:
    Demonstrate effective problem‑solving, decision‑making, and coping skills to consumers
  • Assist with Therapeutic

    Activities:

    Help facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities designed to promote mental and emotional well‑being
