Job Title

Serve as an advocate, case manager and coordinator of services in situations involving child and family matters with the immediate goal of reduction of the frequency of Choctaw family disintegration while ensuring child safety.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30 | Pay-$28.25 | Full Time

Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.

Primary Tasks:

  • Establish visible, productive working relationships with community partners such as state and private foster care agencies, other tribal foster care departments, and faith-based communities.
  • Develop and implement, with an evaluation component, an annual foster care resource home recruitment plan.
  • Recruit qualified Choctaw foster homes for placement of Choctaw children.
  • Work with Children and Family Services for the recruitment and retention of foster families and identify barriers and implementation methods for successful recruitment.
  • Coordinate publicity and marketing for the Choctaw Nation Foster Care Program through development of branding materials and brochures, submitting articles for Biskinik and local newspapers, maintaining CNO Foster Care Social Media platforms, and promoting local events.
  • Participate in foster parent activities and meetings.
  • Help coordinate special events and developing written materials for foster parents.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of job performance.
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, or related field and two [2] years of directly related experience, OR six [6] years of directly related experience in lieu of education.

· Basic knowledge of the Indian Child Welfare Act

· Negotiate, mediate and be positive at a professional level

· Demonstrate a high level of cultural competence, sensitivity and responsiveness.

· Writing skills, correspondence, organizational, and time-management skills.

· Experience with social media and marketing

· Ability to use support devices such as computers, fax machines, copiers/scanners, phones and tablets.
