Direct Care Staff

HOME OF HOPE is seeking compassionate Direct Care Staff to support children and young mothers in our faith-based residential program. In this on-site role, you'll ensure safety, structure, and a nurturing environment while supervising daily routines, assisting with life skills, and modeling positive behavior. You'll document observations, support crisis interventions, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to help families heal, grow, and move toward lasting independence.

Ideal candidates have experience with at-risk youth or families, strong boundaries, and a heart for mission-driven, faith-informed service.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to children and young mothers in a residential setting
• Ensure safety, structure, and a nurturing environment during all shifts
• Support residents with daily living activities, routines, and program expectations
• Model positive behavior and reinforce life skills and house guidelines
• Document observations, incidents, and resident progress accurately and on time
• Collaborate with counselors, case managers, and program staff on care plans
• Participate in faith-informed, trauma aware practices and de escalation
• Assist with transportation, appointments, activities, and community outings
• Maintain cleanliness and order in living areas and common spaces
• Support crisis interventions following organizational policies and training
