Senior Type Script Developer

As a Senior Type Script Developer you will join the Connect Platform team responsible for building backend services that connect payment terminals to merchant configuration, workflow orchestration, and platform monitoring.

• Design, build and maintain backend services using Type Script and modern Node.js.
• Develop serverless applications deployed on AWS Lambda.
• Build and maintain APIs using OpenAPI‑first design.
• Work with AWS services including S3, SQS, SNS, Dynamo
  
  DB, Event Bridge, API Gateway, Cloud Watch, KMS, Secrets Manager and Parameter Store.
• Build infrastructure using AWS CDK.
• Develop secure, scalable services that support payment workflows and terminal connectivity.
• Own features end‑to‑end from design through deployment and production support.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, performance and resilience.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision‑making.
• Mentor other engineers and maintain high engineering standards through code reviews and best practices.

• Strong experience building backend applications with Node.js and Type Script.
• Experience designing and operating serverless architectures on AWS.
• Strong understanding of event‑driven systems and distributed architectures.
• Experience working with APIs and modern backend development practices.
• Comfortable with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as AWS CDK or Terraform.
• Strong understanding of testing, CI/CD and engineering best practices.
• Experience working with cloud‑native systems at scale.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, product and QA teams.
• Fluent English communication skills.

• Experience in payments, fintech or banking environments.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS or secure development practices.
• Experience with streaming/event platforms such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Event Bridge.
• Strong observability mindset (logging, tracing, monitoring).
• Open‑source contributions, technical writing or community involvement.
