Job SummaryTransports chickens from broiler farms to the plants by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Drives a truck to transport chickens from the broiler farms to the plants.
- Picks up chickens at the farms.
- Delivers chickens to live haul.
- Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
- Binds and unbinds cages.
- Must comply with all DOT and State driver training and documentation requirements.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years of verifiable driving experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate hours of service, complete log book pages and calculate and report hours worked.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust have a Class‑A CDL Drivers License. Must have no major driving violations and be able to pass a D.O.T. physical and drug test.
