Pilot IncentivesBase Pilot Supervisor Annual Stipend: $5,000.
Salary range $113,124 - $124,437 including 30% Geo Modifier.
- $15K Sign on Bonus
- Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)
- 7/7 schedule
- 24-hour base housing, provided at all locations
Ensures all operations involving company aircraft are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Air Evac EMS Operations Manual, and all state and municipal regulations. The Base Pilot Supervisor (BPS) is the front‑line supervisor for the Line Pilots assigned to the base, working with the Program Director to ensure the base operates efficiently, safely, and economically.
Responsibilities- Develops and coordinates pilot duty schedules with the Regional Director of Flight Operations.
- Coordinates flight planning activities and resource allocation with the Program Director.
- Conducts local area orientations for all new hire pilots assigned to the base.
- Coordinates aviation activities for public relations events.
- Reviews, corrects, and submits each base pilot’s monthly flight/duty log to the Regional Director of Flight Operations in the required timeframe.
- Monitors pilots at the base and assists in day‑to‑day management of flight and administrative issues.
- Submits all assigned base pilot’s payroll grids to the Regional Director of Flight Operations.
- Operates aircraft safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual.
- Monitors weather forecasts and current conditions.
- Conducts preflight inspections of aircraft prior to shift or flight, logging discrepancies and notifying maintenance.
- Reports to shift supervisor as rested and prepared, staying current on weather and forecast changes.
- Minimum 2,000 total flight hours.
- 1,500 helicopter flight hours.
- 1,000 helicopter pilot‑in‑command hours.
- 500 turbine hours.
100 night unaided hours or 50 night unaided with 100 aided hours.
- Previous HAA experience or equivalent.
- One year of experience as a pilot with a GMR company.
- Previous supervisory experience helpful.
- Rotorcraft‑Helicopter Commercial Certificate.
- Rotorcraft‑Helicopter Instrument Rating.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 230‑pound weight limit while dressed in flight suit and boots.
