About The JobOur truck drivers are reliable, dependable, and represent Helena in a courteous and professional manner while on the road and at the office. Drivers use tact and diplomacy when working with customers, other Helena employees, and leaders. You will be home daily and your benefits begin on your first day.
What Your Day Will Look Like- Assist in loading trailer with materials.
- Unload trailer using forklift or hand truck.
- Transport loads to required destinations along the route.
- Obtain shipping bills and necessary signatures.
- Return completed paperwork to the shipping office.
- Remove empty skids from the trailer and carry them to the designated piling area.
- Perform miscellaneous service duties on the vehicle, including daily checks of oil, water, gasoline, and tire air pressure.
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Perform other work‑related duties as assigned by the leader.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Class A CDL is required.
- Hazmat endorsement is required.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English is required.
- Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license is required to drive a company vehicle. Must meet all company requirements to operate a Helena vehicle.
The position involves working in a warehouse/outdoor environment with moderate to loud noise levels and occasional very loud conditions. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions and be exposed to outdoor elements. In the warehouse, you may encounter moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, vibrations, and a risk of electrical shock. Tasks require using hands for many tasks, speaking, hearing, walking, sitting, standing for 8+ hours per day, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to and including 50 lbs, reaching overhead up to and including 25 lbs, climbing, bending, stooping, and working below knee levels or above shoulder levels for short periods.
