Summary:
Under the direction of the Academic Dean, the Academic Resource Specialist is responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operations of the Academic Resource Center and assisting students with course and laboratory assignments in a tribal college setting. Other duties include but are not limited to policy and program planning, development and evaluation, and acting as a liaison with a variety of publics on and off campus in a manner that is consistent with the College Mission, Native Core Values, and College goals and objectives.
This position is funded by a Title III Grant.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Leave should not be taken during trimesters when classes are in session.
QualificationsJob Specifications:
Minimum Requirements Bachelors Degree in Education or a related field. Ability to coordinate overlapping projects and deadlines required. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills required. Experience in report development and data interpretation; tribal experience, and knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Preferred Requirements Bachelors in Education or Math from an accredited higher education institution and 3 years of experience.
Special Considerations Ability to speak the Muscogee (Creek) language is preferable but not a requirement. Native American and Veteran preference.
Licensure (if appropriate):
Valid Drivers License.
