The Human Resources Generalist is an entry-level Human Resources professional responsible for supporting daily HR operations and providing exceptional customer service to employees and managers throughout the employee lifecycle. This position plays a key role in onboarding, employee support, records management, compliance, benefits administration, training coordination, and HR systems administration.
The HR Generalist works closely with HR leadership to ensure a positive employee experience while developing knowledge and expertise across all functional areas of Human Resources. This position is designed for an individual seeking to build a long-term career in HR through hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Onboarding and Employee Lifecycle Management- Coordinate and facilitate all new hire onboarding activities.
- Prepare new hire paperwork, employment documents, and personnel files.
- Conduct new employee orientation and ensure completion of required onboarding requirements.
- Coordinate system access requests, equipment assignments, and onboarding communications.
- Process employee status changes, transfers, promotions, salary changes, and separations.
- Assist with offboarding activities, exit documentation, and employee file maintenance.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, procedures, forms, benefits, and employment practices.
- Provide responsive and professional customer service to employees and managers.
- Assist employees with navigating HR processes and available resources.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and departmental communications.
- Maintain personnel files and HR records in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational requirements.
- Ensure HR documentation is accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
- Assist with compliance audits and reporting requirements.
- Support implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, organizational, and business information.
- Assist with job postings and recruitment activities as needed.
- Support hiring managers and HR leadership during the selection process.
- Maintain employee information within the HRIS and related systems.
- Prepare employment-related correspondence and documentation.
- Process HR transactions accurately and timely.
- Generate reports and assist with workforce metrics and recordkeeping.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
