Position: IT Service Desk Technician
Location:
Okmulgee, OK
Fulltime - Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Non-Exempt
Salary Range - Starting $22-$26
Position Summary
Covington Aircraft is seeking a motivated and service-oriented IT Service Desk Technician to provide day-to-day technical support across our aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations. This position will serve as the primary frontline IT support resource for employees, helping maintain reliable technology systems that support operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and business continuity.
This role is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem solving, customer service, and supporting a fast-paced aviation environment. The IT Service Desk Technician will work closely with the IT Lead to support users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain IT assets, and assist with ongoing technology improvements throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
End User Support
• Provide day-to-day technical support for desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, email systems, network connectivity, printer functionality, and user account access.
• Respond to IT help desk tickets, calls, emails, and walk-up support requests.
• Provide support across office, shop floor, and operational areas.
Business Systems Support
• Assist users with ERP systems, Access Databases, shared drives, maintenance tracking systems, and operational software.
• Escalate advanced application or infrastructure issues to the IT Lead or vendors when needed.
• Help document recurring issues and solutions.
Hardware & Infrastructure Support
• Configure and deploy computers, monitors, printers, and peripherals.
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assets.
• Assist with workstation moves, installations, and office/shop setup.
• Support basic network troubleshooting including Wi-Fi, switches, and cabling.
• Perform routine updates, patching, and preventative maintenance.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
• Follow company cybersecurity policies and best practices.
• Assist with endpoint security, antivirus software, and compliance.
• Help identify suspicious activity or security concerns.
• Support IT documentation and audit readiness activities.
Collaboration & Operational Support
• Work closely with the IT Lead on projects and initiatives.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Support conference room technology and collaboration tools.
• Maintain professional communication and customer service.
Additional Responsibilities
• Support barcode scanners and shop floor devices.
• Assist with label printers and production equipment connectivity.
• Coordinate with vendors and warranty providers.
• Help monitor backups and basic server operations.
• Create documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Assist with mobile device management and remote support tools.
Requirements:
Qualifications
Required:
• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, computer hardware troubleshooting, printers, and networking.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
Preferred:
• 1-3 years of IT support or help desk experience.
• Experience supporting ERP systems or manufacturing/MRO environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Access Databases, Active Directory, and remote support tools.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications preferred.
• Aviation or industrial experience is a plus.
