Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and practice standards in line with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet resident needs with the Director of Nursing.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Receive, transcribe, and implement physician orders.
  • Implement and evaluate care plans.
  • Identify and secure equipment supplies.
  • Direct and oversee subordinates.
  • Participate in duty assignments.
  • Organize and coordinate subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
  • Oversee and monitor the function and activities of subordinate staff.
  • Evaluate staff performance and institute appropriate disciplinary training.
  • Monitor infection control compliance.
  • Investigate and document accidents and incidents.
Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Previous skilled nursing experience.
  • Solid understanding of clinical operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
