As a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will serve as a critical technical expert, diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues across a diverse fleet of machinery. By leveraging advanced diagnostic software and your hands-on expertise, you will ensure equipment reliability and peak performance for our clients in the field.
About the RoleAs a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will serve as a critical technical expert, diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues across a diverse fleet of machinery. By leveraging advanced diagnostic software and your hands-on expertise, you will ensure equipment reliability and peak performance for our clients in the field.
Responsibilities- Perform expert-level maintenance and complex repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical circuits.
- Utilize digital diagnostic tools and tablets to accurately document service history and track machine health.
- Travel to customer job sites to provide rapid-response repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for critical operations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians to elevate team performance.
- Manage parts procurement and inventory to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Maintain a professional, organized service vehicle to uphold safety and operational standards.
- Adhere to rigorous safety protocols and environmental regulations during all repair processes.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude with extensive experience in heavy equipment repair.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical schematics and electrical diagrams.
- Strong communication skills to provide exceptional service to customers and team members.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in various field environments.
- Ownership of personal tools required for heavy equipment maintenance.
- Completion of a formal trade school program or equivalent certification.
- Prior experience in a field service or mobile maintenance role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA safety standards and site-specific compliance.
