Position OverviewThe Basic Accountant will be responsible for performing essential accounting tasks to support the financial operations of our automotive dealership. This includes managing daily transactions, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a basic understanding of accounting practices, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of daily transactions
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process invoices and payments
- Other general accounting duties as needed
- Prepare reports
- Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience (automotive industry experience a plus)
- Basic knowledge of accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred)
- Efficient and knowledgeable in Microsoft 365
