We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our Road & Bridge and Noxious Weed Departments. This position will provide comprehensive administrative, clerical, and operational support ensuring efficient departmental workflow by managing documentation, coordinating communications, maintaining records, processing financial and personnel transactions, and supporting compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements.
Essential FunctionsThe Administrative Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate infrastructure records, work orders, equipment logs, and project documentation; preparing reports and correspondence; processing invoices and receiving payables and purchase orders; tracking budgets and expenditures; and assisting with payroll, timekeeping, and personnel documentation. The position also coordinates meetings, manages department calendars, responds to public inquiries and service requests, and maintains filing systems in accordance with records retention policies.
Qualification- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of office or other relevant experience
- Proficient in ad hoc reporting, knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Valid Driver's License
