Position Summary & ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:
The position (K0231882)
Provides programmatic and administrative technical assistance to all health departments and preparedness regions, including the two Cities Readiness Initiative regions, to ensure compliance with federal program requirements. Review data submissions from each health department and region to facilitate ongoing improvement in their preparedness levels for all PHEP capabilities. Provide training to external partners to address gaps identified in the integrated preparedness planning workshop and through review of submitted reports.
Schedule, plan, host, and conduct follow up for the preparedness training series. Manage training data in Kansas TRAIN. Monitor and review KS-Train for meeting dates, training plans, invitations, meeting rosters for attendance, and assure that the attendance rosters are completed correctly and accurately. Communicate programmatic information for the CHEMPACK program between federal and local partners to ensure program functions are being met and partners are aware of when, how, and why CHEMPACK is used and managed.
Provide training to external partners on the CHEMPACK program. Serve as KDHE system administrator for the Kansas Health Alert Network. Manage users, develop protocols, direct system enhancements, develop training, and provide technical assistance. Send messages through KS-HAN when requested through the correct protocol. Assist the grants team with contract renewals for the KS-HAN system. Work with the communications team to review and update the internal and public-facing webpages related to KS-HAN.
- Collect training data for technical assistance on medical countermeasures. Assists with federal reporting and the development of cooperative agreement applications and progress reports.
- Assists with gathering information for the annual integrated preparedness planning workshop and development of the annual multi-year integrated preparedness plan.
