What You'll Do
- Promotes a safe work environment by ensuring associates use proper safety equipment.
- Maintains clean and organized work areas (e.g., floors free of debris, equipment operational and clean, and hazards removed).
- Requests materials, supplies, parts, and repair services as needed.
- Manages daily production area operations by planning and establishing work schedules and assignments.
- Monitors and evaluates operations, programs, processes, and practices for quality and effectiveness.
- Inspects materials, products, and equipment for defects or malfunctions.
- Assists in production sequence planning to meet production goals and deliver superior customer service.
- Ensures the timely resolution of associate performance concerns.
- Completes and analyzes departmental reports.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives and supports a Lean culture by documenting and implementing improved processes.
- Participates in new hire and ongoing associate training.
- Provides guidance on process improvements related to waste control, quality management, and process effectiveness.
- Coordinates, completes, and oversees job‑related activities and assignments by:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs
- Identifying and communicating goals and objectives
- Building accountability and measuring progress toward results
- Identifying and addressing improvement opportunities
- Demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by:
- Hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties
