Residential Service Estimator/Project Manager
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Service Estimator/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves working in the residential service division, where project scopes range from $1,000 to $100,000. You will be responsible for developing customer relationships, preparing estimates, coordinating projects, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from start to finish. The position includes a vehicle and offers a salary plus a commission bonus structure.
You will use Housecall Pro for estimating software and visit 6–8 sites daily, with some bids completed on a tablet on‑site. This high‑volume estimating role requires strong communication skills and a sales‑oriented approach.
- Meet with homeowners and customers to understand their needs and develop solutions.
- Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for residential electrical projects.
- Build trust through responsive communication and exceptional service.
- Maintain relationships with existing customers while generating new opportunities.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource throughout the project process.
- Manage projects from estimate through completion.
- Coordinate schedules, materials, permits, and project logistics.
- Work closely with field electricians to ensure projects stay on track.
- Monitor budgets, change orders, timelines, and customer expectations.
- Communicate project updates clearly with customers and internal teams.
- Partner with electricians, supervisors, and office staff to deliver successful projects.
- Help ensure crews have the information and resources needed to perform their work efficiently.
- Foster positive working relationships across departments.
- Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and customer service.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Track project costs, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and create a better customer experience.
- Help ensure projects meet company standards for quality, safety, and performance.
- Knowledge of electrical code, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- 3+ years of experience in the electrical industry.
- Experience using software to manage projects.
Skills & Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred.
- Residential estimating experience is an advantage.
- Previous project management or service coordination experience is beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and project management tools.
- A positive, solutions‑oriented mindset and a genuine desire to help customers.
The work environment includes frequent site visits, requiring the ability to travel between locations. You will work closely with homeowners, contractors, electricians, and office staff to keep projects moving forward while maintaining quality, efficiency, and profitability. Professional attire is expected when interacting with customers and clients. The position involves using a company‑provided vehicle and technology such as tablets and estimating software to conduct business efficiently.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year.
