Job Description & How to Apply Below
Description
Seeking a highly curious, hands-on Business Analyst to support digital and operational initiatives within our construction business. This is not a traditional "requirements-only" BA role. We're looking for someone who can dig into data, understand how construction work actually gets done, and actively partner with the business to solve problems end-to-end. You'll work closely with construction teams and business leaders to improve data capture, reporting, and overall operational efficiency.
In this role, you'll contribute to key initiatives such as enhancing internal applications, focused on workforce management and project tracking), and transforming spreadsheet-heavy, manual processes into scalable solutions. You'll operate in an environment where problems aren't always clearly defined, requiring you to ask thoughtful questions, explore data, and help shape the right path forward.
The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, is comfortable working directly in tools like Excel, and has a genuine curiosity about construction processes and workflows. Whether you come from a construction, project coordination, or analyst background, you should be someone who prefers to figure things out hands-on rather than simply document requirements and pass them along.
What You'll Do
Business Partnership & Communication
Build strong working relationships with construction teams, business leaders, project managers, and technical teams
Engage directly with stakeholders by observing workflows, asking questions, and understanding real-world challenges
Facilitate conversations to uncover needs, not just gather requirements, but help define the right solution
Communicate clearly across business and technical teams, helping align outcomes and expectations

Problem Solving & Analysis (Core of the Role)
Dive into construction workflows, tools, and data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities
Analyze and manipulate data (often in spreadsheets) to uncover insights and drive decisions
Create current-state and future-state process views, with a focus on practical application
Help translate loosely defined goals into actionable plans and solutions
Troubleshoot issues and recommend improvements to processes, tools, and workflows

Requirements & Solution Development
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements (when appropriate)
Work with teams to iterate on solutions-not just capture requirements upfront
Support estimation efforts (scope, timeline, effort, cost) by helping define what's actually needed
Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers-and actively help resolve them

Project & Delivery Support
Partner closely with project managers to:

* Maintain visibility into progress and risks

* Help remove blockers and keep work moving

* Occasionally lead meetings or status discussions
Contribute to initiatives such as:

* Digitizing construction workflows

* Replacing spreadsheet-heavy processes

* Supporting workforce planning and project tracking

Testing & Implementation Support
Help define and support test cases to ensure solutions meet business needs
Participate in testing and work through issues with both users and technical teams
Support user acceptance activities and ensure successful rollout of solutions

Experience working with data, reporting, or process improvement initiatives
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, evolving environments with minimal direction
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders

Comfort working with cross-functional teams (business + technical)
Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant experience is prioritized over formal education
