Position Summary... What you'll do... Key Responsibilities
- Promote a safe work environment by ensuring associates utilize the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas by ensuring floors are free of debris, equipment is operational, and potential safety hazards are promptly addressed.
- Request materials, supplies, replacement parts, and repair services as needed to support production operations.
- Manage the daily operations of the production area by planning and establishing work schedules, staffing assignments, and production priorities.
- Monitor and evaluate operations, programs, processes, and practices to ensure quality, efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
- Inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects, damage, or malfunctions and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Assist with production sequencing and scheduling to meet production goals while providing superior customer service.
- Ensure the timely and appropriate resolution of associate performance concerns through coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
- Complete, review, and analyze departmental reports to monitor operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by supporting Lean manufacturing principles, documenting best practices, and implementing process improvements.
- Participate in onboarding and ongoing training to develop associate knowledge, skills, and performance.
- Provide guidance on process improvements related to waste reduction, quality management, productivity, and operational effectiveness.
- Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities by:
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- Supporting business plans and initiatives that meet customer and organizational needs.
- Identifying and communicating goals and objectives.
- Building accountability and measuring progress toward expected results.
- Identifying and addressing process improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by:
- Hiring, onboarding, and training new associates.
- Coaching and mentoring team members.
