Job Description
We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our growing in-house creative team. In this role, you’ll partner with subject matter experts and communications teams to create compelling visual stories that bring the Terracon brand to life across internal and external channels.
You’ll design engaging experiences for employees and clients across print, digital, and presentation platforms, supporting campaigns, special projects, and high‑visibility initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strong visual storyteller who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and can manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. You’ll collaborate cross‑functionally and with a variety of stakeholders and execute multiple projects with shifting priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
As a part of our corporate team, you’ll help shape a trusted, national brand through meaningful visual storytelling that supports employees, clients, and communities. Design Responsibilities- Serve as a brand ambassador for the firm, ensuring that all communications pieces align with the style guide.
- Ensure consistency in visual identity, tone, and quality while adapting designs appropriately for audiences.
- Support campaign development and special projects.
- Participate in reviews and refinements of high‑visibility or sensitive materials in partnership with leadership.
- Design for employee‑owner (internal) and client‑focused (external) experiences across multiple platforms, including presentations, webinars, layouts and graphics for print collateral, web, social media, and email campaigns.
- Help develop and execute campaigns or special projects.
- Establish and maintain design templates and guidelines for use across the company.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally and with external vendors.
- Manage assets, version control, and accessibility of files.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client experience as demonstrated through responsiveness, great communication, and on‑time delivery.
- A visual storyteller with a knack for designing compelling visuals, iconography, typography, photography, and infographics within the Terracon brand standards.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Have a working familiarity with web and email design. Experience is highly appreciated but not required.
- Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure while maintaining speed and high attention to detail given shifting timelines, updates, and last‑minute slide changes.
- Receptive to redirection and design feedback. Ensure designs enhance message clarity, engagement, and understanding for diverse employee audiences.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre‑task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field and a minimum of two years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of six years’ related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, and Microsoft Office.
- Skilled at managing competing priorities and deadlines with calm composure.
- Able to continually reprioritize and adjust focus on a daily/weekly basis.
- Able to work independently and/or as a valuable member of the team.
- Able to take direction, lead direction, and translate ideas and concepts to meet project objectives.
- Participate in department processes and organization.
- Marketing automation platform experience (Microsoft Dynamics, Hub Spot, etc.) is highly appreciated but not required.
- A/E/C or B2B Design experience preferred.
- Print design knowledge.
