Extraordinary Homes, Inc. is our design-build sister company specializing in modern-style custom homes — taking every project from the first concept sketch all the way through construction completion. Both firms are based in Olathe, Kansas.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Architectural Design Professional role based in Olathe, KS. The successful candidate will work across both Webster Architects and Extraordinary Homes, gaining exposure to the full arc of a project — from design development through construction administration. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing architectural drawings, construction documents, and design presentations using AutoCAD; assisting with schematic design and design development for custom residential projects;
coordinating with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the design and construction process; participating in project meetings, site visits, and client presentations; supporting permit and construction document sets in compliance with applicable codes; and assisting with material selection, specifications, and project documentation.
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in architecture or architectural design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required; experience with Revit or Sketch Up is a plus.
- Prior residential design experience is helpful — we will train the right candidate.
- A degree in Architecture or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Professional licensure is not required; candidates actively pursuing ARE licensure are welcome.
- Ability to coordinate with contractors, consultants, and clients in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance design quality, code compliance, and project schedules.
- Genuine passion for residential architecture and a desire to see your work get built.
