A competitive salary commensurate with education and experience:
Assistant Principal – High School salary schedule (range $94,416 - $124,712 based on experience, education and the 25/26 salary schedules)

Start Date: End of July 2026 (This position is a one year position - for the 26/27 SY)

Summary of Position

Montrose County School District seeks a motivated, collaborative assistant principal. The assistant principal works closely with the principal to provide support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for directing assigned programs and services at the school; providing information and serving as a resource to others; supervising assigned staff; coordinating school activities; and addressing issues, situations, and problems that arise on campus or with enrolled students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Chairs meetings (e.g., curriculum, safety, site advisory, special district committees) to coordinate activities and ensure outcomes meet school, district, and state objectives.
  • Evaluates assigned personnel to ensure learning standards are achieved and teacher growth occurs.
