Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the principles of effective teaching
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good Leadership and organizational skills
  • Good health & physical condition must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Current TB skin test on file
  • Valid driver's license
BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE

Student Council exists to develop attitudes of and practice in good citizenship, promote good relationships throughout the entire school, improve student/teacher relationships, improve school morale, improve school image, assist in the management of school activities, provide a forum for student expression, provide students with leadership training, and promote the general welfare of the High School.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To facilitate communication between the student body and administration.
  • Recruit and enlist officers and members.
  • Facilitate new officer elections by mid-April.
  • Mentor officers.
  • Organize and supervise School activities to include but not limited to: fall homecoming, winter spirit week, daily spirit activities, filly football, student vs. staff athletic event, hall and door decorating contest, voting coronation, and the dance.
  • Organize and supervise Club and organization functions.
  • Mediate Seminar Senate meetings.
  • Organize and supervise fundraising activities.
  • Summer camp registration and transportation.
  • Plan and attend Leadership activities.
  • Accurately maintain all financial records.
  • Other Activities approved by building administrators.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee occasionally works extended hours. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
