Description:
The Department of Natural, Health, and Mathematical Sciences at Mid America Nazarene University (MNU), invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of General Chemistry adjunct lab instructor. General Chemistry I is offered every fall with two sections of the laboratory. General Chemistry II is offered every spring with two sections of the laboratory. Curriculum is provided. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and to Christian education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach/direct undergraduate general chemistry laboratory courses. Work under the direction of full-time chemistry faculty member. Maintain up to date records of student grades. Submit grades at midterm and end of semester.
Qualifications:
* A terminal degree in biology or a related field preferred. An MS in a related field will be considered
* Ability to work collaboratively with department chair and full-time biology faculty
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective teaching.
