Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English
• Previous experience interpreting within schools, educational programs, or similar environments preferred
• A professional approach to maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical interpretation standards
• Ability to provide a recent resume and documentation of licensure upon request

Primary Responsibilities:

• Translate spoken English to ASL and ASL to English in K-12 school environments
• Facilitate group or one-on-one conversations between D/HH students and hearing individuals
• Support educational access during classroom activities and school events
• Adapt communication style to serve each student's needs, collaborating closely with educators and staff
• Maintain accurate and impartial communication as required in educational settings
