Job Summary:

Mid America Nazarene University, located in Olathe, Kansas, invites qualified candidates to apply for an Adjunct Professor to teach a Genetics lecture course and corresponding lab. This course is the study of the fundamental principles of inheritance considering the molecular, cytological, and population evidence. This course is a requirement for all Biology majors. The instructor must be willing to travel to MNU.

Genetics lecture is being offered on Mondays and Thursday 8:00-9:15. Genetics lab is being offered on Tuesdays 3:00-6:00.
** Responsibilities:
*** Teach undergraduate section of Genetics and related lab
* Develop and deliver engaging course materials, including syllabi, lectures, labs, and assessments aligned with the course learning outcome
* Facilitate laboratory sessions, ensuring student safety and competency in standard genetic techniques
* Integrate current scientific literature and real-world applications into coursework
* Thoughtfully address the intersection of genetics and Christian faith within the curriculum where appropriate
* Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner
* Provide meaningful, constructive feedback on assignments and exams## Qualifications
** Education Qualifications/

Skills Required:

* Earned Doctorate (Ph.D.) or Master's degree (M.S. or M.A.) in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution

* Ability to teach from within a Christian worldview framework without compromising academic rigor or scientific integrity
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse learners effectively
** Work Environment and

Physical Requirements:

*** This is a part-time, semester-by-semester appointment
* Course loads are assigned based on departmental need and enrollment
* Compensation is provided on a per-credit-hour basis in accordance with university adjunct pay schedules.
* Genetics course and lab are in-person at MNU in Olathe, KS
