Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract-based itinerant position offers a unique opportunity to work across private parochial schools and various educational sites, providing essential services to diverse student populations. The role is located near Olathe, KS, with assignments running from August 2026 through May 2027.

Qualifications
  • Active Kansas (KS) K-12 teaching license is required.
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred.
  • Familiarity with itinerant teaching or servicing multiple school sites is highly desirable.
  • Strong ability to create, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as an itinerant Special Education Teacher, traveling between private parochial and other school campuses to provide specialized instructional support.
  • Design and adapt curriculum materials to meet unique student needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to ensure student success.
  • Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and track progress in accordance with district and state guidelines.
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain regular documentation and report writing for compliance.
