Job Summary
Sheridan College Activities Network (SCAN) Programmers work together as a cohesive team that oversees the coordination and facilitation of all assigned student events. They make sure the event has everything it needs including, but not limited to, seating capacity, sound & lighting, food and drink, prizes, etc. The SCAN team is also responsible for documenting programming debriefing and attendance numbers. The SCAN team works together to keep the group motivated and assists team members with additional duties as assigned.
The SCAN team researches and suggests events based on current recommendations from fellow students. The SCAN team consistently updates all social media, tabletop advertisements, and chalkboard signs.
- Must be reliable and dependable
- Must attend all trainings
- Must attend all weekly team meetings
- Responsible for setup and tear down of events
- Research different performers for future dates
- Other duties as assigned by Advisor
- Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
- Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
- Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater
- Excels with Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication
Physical Requirements
- Will have to work late hours
- Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs.
