About This Role
Kansas State University’s Olathe campus (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). invites qualified scholars and professionals to apply for a part-time, temporary instructor pool. The instructor will teach nutrition classes to undergraduate students for evening, in-person classes to be held at the K-State Olathe campus. Classes are for the School of Health Sciences, preparing students for careers and additional education in public health, human nutrition, and dietetics.
Instructor positions are non‑tenure‑track members of the faculty. Positions vary and are dependent upon the need, if any, each semester for the instruction of course(s) contingent on enrollment and staffing. The primary role is instruction with no obligations to perform research or service. The appointment dates will vary based on the type of appointment and the timeframe for the preparation and instruction of the course(s).
Applicants in this pool may or may not be considered. Applications will be reviewed, and candidates will be contacted as needed. Application materials will be reviewed by a search committee and placed in a pool for consideration for teaching courses consistent with departmental instructional needs. As positions become available, the department head or associate dean will select candidates from the pool for further consideration, and selected candidates will be contacted accordingly.
Applications will be accepted through June 2027, and you will receive an email notification when the pool closes. A new requisition will open on July 1, 2027. If you have continued interest in the pool, please reapply to the new requisition. If at any time you decide that you are no longer interested in being considered, you may log in to the system and withdraw your application from the pool.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
Minimum Qualifications- A master’s degree in dietetics, human nutrition, nutrition science, or related field.
- The degree requirement is necessary for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentials.
- Experience with college/university-level teaching.
- 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
- Must be able to work evenings, in person.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
Anticipated Hiring Pay Range$2,000 per credit hour
