Cast Member

City Year seeks Ameri Corps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. City Year offers comprehensive training, leadership development, and exposure to education and youth development careers in a mission-driven, inclusive culture dedicated to advancing educational equity.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class academic support in core subjects such as math and English
• Offer one-on-one and small group tutoring and mentoring to students
• Support students' social-emotional development and positive behavior
• Monitor attendance and engage students in strategies to improve participation
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning interventions
• Help plan and lead after-school and enrichment programs
• Track and report student progress and engagement data
• Collaborate with City Year teammates, school staff, and administrators
• Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development
• Engage in school-wide events and community service projects
