Dance Instructor , Classes , Substitute

Position: Dance Instructor ($25/hr, Classes Begin January, Substitute Opportunities Available Now)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Dance Instructor to join our team! This position involves teaching a variety of dance styles—including ballet, tap, hip-hop, acro, lyrical and more—in a fun, inclusive, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inspiring dancers of all ages and skill levels, with a particular excitement for working with young and recreational dancers.

Position Details Classes will begin in January 2027 with substitute opportunities available beforehand.

Training to be completed prior to December 11th, 2026.Must be 18+ and completed high school.

Teaching Commitment - Our winter/spring session runs January through May with continued opportunities into the summer and fall.

Seeking candidates available weekdays 4:15-8:00pm and Saturdays. Additional daytime availability is a plus!

Starting at $25/hr for qualified candidates. Starting pay based on teaching experience leading a classroom and relative education/training.

Responsibilities Plan and lead dance classes for children and adults of varying skill levels.

Teach proper technique and form in a variety of dance styles including Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Acrobatics.

Develop age-appropriate lesson plans with fun and engaging activities to keep students motivated

Assess each student’s skill level and adapt teaching methods as needed

Ensure a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment for all participants

Provide individualized feedback and encouragement to help dancers improve their skills and confidence

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow instructors

Requirements

Background and/or experience in multiple dance styles, with strong knowledge of proper technique and safety guidelines

Must be 18 years of age or older

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor

Ability to work with children of all ages and skill levels

Skill in creating and modifying lesson plans to meet student needs

Passion for teaching dance and inspiring growth and confidence

Reliable, punctual, and professional with a strong work ethic

Must pass a background check
